 Fibreglass profiles are made from 65% to 85% glass fibers and 15% to 35% resin. The 82.5 mm (3 °") deep frame and sash are insulated with expanded polystyrene. Frames are fabricated from pultruded fibreglass and assembled with tightly silicone sealed mitered corners with foam filled reinforced mechanically integrated nylon shear blocks.

 A dual arm E-Gardô detachable roto-gear operator is standard. The E-Gardô process encapsulates the hardware components in a superior chemical and corrosive resistant finish. The roto-gear has a high pressure die cast zinc case, knob and collapsible crank handle. Non-collapsible crank handles and palm knobs are available as options. Two die cast zinc locks are standard on all windows. Multi-point locks are available as an option. The standard hardware color is white. |

 The sealed insulated glass units conform to CAN/CSGB-12.8-M90. Both dual (18mm thickness) and triple (34mm thickness) glazings are available. All glazing units are manufactured with "Super Spacer" by Edgetech. Glass thickness is determined as per the National Building Code depending on the size of window. High performance glazing options include spectrally selective day lighting glass, tinted glass, reflective glass, pyrolitic (hard coat) low emissivity glass and sputtered (soft coat) low emissivity glass.The sealed unit is held in place by a removable exterior aluminum glass stop. Double sided foam tape on the interior and thermoplastic rubber on the exterior assist in securing the glass and protecting from the elements. ADC 325 Series Insulated Fiberglass Awning Window
 The exterior thermoplastic weather-strip provides the window with a dust seal and some rain protection. The center santoprene bulb seal prevents against air and water leakage. The inner santoprene spline seal restricts air infiltration. All of these seals used in conjunction with one another allows cavities to be drained to the exterior to conform to the rain screen principle. All weather-stripping can be replaced. |
